Native Plant Gardening

Is this little bluestem?

I planted in the spring. Not sure anymore as it’s taller than most of what I read about it.

No, little bluestem is much less uniform in color and has pinkish-purplish stems.

The seed head is wrong for little bluestem, big bluestem, switchgrass, Indian grass, and any other native ornamental grass I’ve seen. I’m with the other commenter thinking it’s a pampas grass.

No, little bluestem is reedy and purplish near the joints. This looks like some kind of pampas. Put a bag over the seed head to contain the seeds, then dig the plant up and put it in a garbage bag in the sun to kill it. You may end up needing chemical control to target future growths in the immediate area.
