Fiddle Leaf Fig

Is this going to be a problem?

I beheaded this one for the first time recently (wrong season, I know, but it had to happen for us to move) and now it's branching in two places and popping out 5 leaves at once. It's never grown more than 1 at a time, so I'm a little worried it may overextend itself, so to speak. How do I support the sudden "insane difficulty" energy requirements?

It's about 3 years old, and was nearly 6ft tall when I cut it. Both halves are now around 3ft, and the rooting half (not pictured) is fine. Just quietly working on its roots, no new leaves over there. Still green up top.

It will be fine. You can give it fertilizer as an extra help.

it’ll be fine, figs pop off multiple leaves when they’re vigorous and happy and this ones going particularly crazy because you beheaded it, just keep doing what you’re doing
