Plant Propagation

Traveling by plane with plants

I’ll be traveling by plane soon and want to take these plants with me. For a little context, the ZZ has been with me since 2020 and I recently cut it back because its old leaves were struggling. I’m confident the root system is fine and I’d like to propagate it so that I can travel with it. But I’ve never propped a ZZ in water before, only soil…

Also, should I leave the philodendron in its pot while traveling? If so, how do I best avoid soil from spilling out? As for the water props, is wrapping their roots in wet paper towels and sealing them in ziplock bags all that I need to do?

Any tips are greatly appreciated.
