The leaves have been turning to mush and dying off. I watered the plants thoroughly before planting in the terrarium could that have resulted in them retaining too much water? I'm sure I didn't over spray it and I took the lid off for a day to air it out. Is it just the wrong type of plant for a terrarium?

My piccolo banda did not like being in a closed terrarium and turned to mush.
It’s likely too wet in there if they are mushy and dying off, try letting it air out a bit more and when you have to water, spray the top of the substrate and avoid getting the plant leaves wet. I usually keep the lid off for a day or two after I’ve watered before closing it back up
I recently just added isopods and spring tails to mine to clean up the decaying plant debris so it’ll be cool to see how everything does
