#Distinctive Features
Crested geckos have fringed crests that run from the sides of their eyes down to the base of their tails, giving them their name.
They have a unique set of lamellae (tiny scales) on their toes, which allows them to climb smooth surfaces like glass.
Crested geckos lack eyelids and clean their eyes with their tongues.

#Habitat and Distribution
Natural Habitat: They are native to the rainforests of New Caledonia, an island country in the southwest Pacific.
