Hoya

EPC-1017 (seedling)

I recently received this Hoya, purchased as EPC-1017 (seedling), from a greenhouse in Florida where they grow outdoors. I picked the one marked seedling just because it was cheaper and later learned that this could mean that it was pollinated with a different variety.
Anyway, I was disappointed because it looked different from what I expected and because it didn’t travel well and was all limp. It has since recovered and put out some new leaves – they look totally different. Like, if they weren’t coming out of the same vine, I would swear it was a different plant. I know growing indoors in Michigan is totally different than outside in Florida…. But I’m still shocked.
