  1. Another fun fact! Malcom X’s family grew up very poor and after his dad died his mother would often pick the dandelions that grew outside of their project home, and cook them for him and his siblings

  2. The leaves are called bitter greens for a reason, edible in small amounts but highly poisonous due to toxin called oxalate. Oxalate will also bond some nutrients like iron, making the iron unavailable to your digestion. 5grams of Oxalate will kill you.
