Lawn Care

I’m not sure what these are but they wrecked my lawn in September. Die you little buggers.

I'm in 6b and we had no rain for most of August and September. I didn't notice the damage until I was expecting grass to perk back up. Skunk holes told me what the problem was. BioAdvanced 24 hour is doing the trick. It's probably too late but I'm throwing down ripoff Scott's seed and topdressing.

At least you can buy grubex 24. Can’t find it in California

My first year getting hit by them too. Thankfully noticed it early September and got a long stretch of autumn to regrow my grass after using the 24hr killer. Fairly certain they’ll be back so I will apply grubex in May, June & July next year to catch the new grubs.

  3. I hate killing anything but these are terrible. Dylox is what you want. Within 24 hrs they’ll be gone as long as its watered in well

It’s been a bad year for grubs. My condolences to you on your lawn. I am starting to get mine put back together after they hit it as well.

When people talk about grubs here, this is what they’re talking about. That’s one of the “raccoons” or “skunks” that go after them. You don’t ever see pics of those, do you? Finally we have one.

My grub cherry was recently popped.

Was out of town for 2 weeks and came home to a lawn that was ravaged. 3 Neighbors too and they had moles with it. I put down Dylox and just aerated, seeded and covered with compost.

Hoping to recover some before frost hits. Been like the Sahara in 5b for last 2 months so might be able to get some growth. Don’t mess around and take them out.
