Plant Propagation

Help!! I’m mid propagation but not sure if I’m doing this right anymore

I researched a bit before but now feeling overwhelmed.

I’m trying to propagate my monstera. It was too leggy and wild in its pot. Goal is to cut some and replant it in the same pot when they are ready!

I cut off about 4 branches off the main/parent branch. I also tried to leave at least two nodes. There are several aerial roots all over the place. Should I cut these when propagating? They barely fit in the pots I have because of this.

I basically took the cuttings and stuck them in water filled to the top. I also stuck the aerial roots in the water (in some cases, it wasn’t the same jar).

Should I cut these aerial roots off so they can fit better in the jar, or does it not really matter? By having at least two nodes, the cuttings are pretty wonky and hard to fit in an ideal way, since it’s like a V shape.

Should I change anything? Also, how long should I leave it in water?

Please help!

The new roots will sprout from the aerial roots. Please don’t cut them
