I'd like some advice. I dig up some old dahlias, the old bulb disappeared, leaving a hole, sometime creating a separation.
My question is. Is it beneficial to let the tuber together or its better to separate? Or it change nothing?
I got mildiou when where I live and want to avoid overcrowded or weak dahlia. (But more tubers mean a stronger dahlia? Or too much buds?)
Eventyally, should I cut in 2 or 4? How many tuber by plant?
One "1" only have one tuber, two broke off, but it serms to have eyes
Another question, some tuber are separated, some broke off (photo 2) it seem to have a neck and all, does it automatically have an eye or there just a few eyes on the whole dahlia. As in last photo, it seems broken should I keep it? Im really bad at finding eyes..
