Can anyone identify this plant? It has parsley growing out of it. I believe the parsley self-seeded from another pot nearby. There are spider plants in the pot, too.

This pot has so many random volunteer plants in it, I can't keep up. I'm pretty sure this is parsley as I had a parsley plant growing in a pot next to this one last year. Spider plant babies have also grown in this pot, but I have no idea what this weird-looking root with a dead stalk is.
