Two year growth with this pup. Recently the mother plant started showing signs of the end, but it happened so fast and I messed up by waiting too long to separate. Now it looks like the pup could be in trouble with that discoloration. Is it RIP for it now?

I’d rip that pup from mom’s body and hope for the best. Unless the pup is mushy at the base after you pull it off, it’ll probably be just fine, in fact it might take off. Hoping for the best for you and your little guy.
