  1. Spider plantling was still attached to the parent plant when I found those. They grow in universal houseplant soil mix + perlite in pots with drainage holes and don’t get any direct sunlight (although right next to a south-east facing window). I water the spider plant after checking that the soil is dry, and tradescantia only when the leaves get softer (it’s always thirsty because the pot is made of terracotta). The amount of water is small enough so it leaves the soil moist but almost doesn’t drip through the drainage holes, and the soil gets dry after a week max.

I’ve recently discovered a thrips and possibly spider mites infestation, but there probably isn’t too many since I didn’t see their excrements, and the damage was slow enough for me to think it’s happening due to chronic underwatering and old leaves dying off.

The 1 mm blob on tradescantia was gone after I gave it a shower; the ones on the spider plant were quite hard but I managed to scrubbed them off, they were bigger. They didn’t leave any dents.

Yesterday I found a ladybug that apparently moved in to feed on the pests, can it be its poop? The pictures of spider plant are from over a month ago, I don’t think it was there already.

Not an expert by any means but maybe this is scale?
