My apple tree isn’t making any apples :(

Hey guys!

2 seasons ago my tree started looking like this. I don't know why it is black, I do not know why the leafs are in such a bad condition, it is not making any apples or anything. The green thing around the stem is a trap for ants btw:)) maybe u can help me safe my little tree:)
It gets enough water and sun through because it's in our garden.
Thanks in advance:)

Do you have a second apple tree nearby? If not, it might not have anything to pollinate with.

Edit to add: idk enough to help with the leaves but I’m also curious!

Do apple trees typically slow down production as they age? Don’t orchards plant new trees every few years or something? This isn’t advice I have no idea, you just got me thinking lol.
