Dahlias

HELP! Cutting propagation issues

First time trying to propagate dahlias from cuttings, but some seem to be strugggling/dying. Can you help me understand what is going wrong with them? They are in root riot cubes, in a humidity dome with temps 65-70F/18-21C and relative humidity 70-90% and overhead light for 16 hours per day. Some are watered with capillary mats and some with misting. What am I looking at here? Thanks!

Looks like there is powdery mildew on the first pic, so you’ll want to treat for that. Leaf cuttings aren’t as successful as cuttings from tubers, so some loss should be expected. If the leaf dies or yellows on your leaf cutting, it doesn’t mean that the leaf node won’t root, so don’t give up.

There is a great video on YouTube by Dave Gilliam showing how he takes fall cuttings.
