Succulent Plants

I feel stupid asking this but… can grow lights burn succulent leaves?

My gut says no, that’s ridiculous, but I’m otherwise not sure what’s happening here. This setup is in a corner 80’ away from a tinted window wall at work. The grow lights are on a 12-hour timer and not as close to the plants as I’d like because of the taller plants around it. All of the new growth has dark, dry, leathery corners but otherwise seems healthy. The other plants seem totally fine.

Bonus: if anyone can identify what’s in the beige pot that would be wonderful. It’s my coworker’s plant she stuck under my lights.

Not a stupid question, and yes, grow lights can cause “sunburn” – I’ve had it happen several times while experimenting with the right amount of light for some of my succulents.

The beige pot looks like a jade to me. I’m not an expert so if anyone else knows what it is please correct me. But it looks like jade to me.
