My wife got me this ficus that she saw at Costco. I buried most of it last year and just found that it developed some nice roots when I dug it up this afternoon. I’m not great at applying wire but this is fun to practice on because I don’t really care if it dies. Happy Friday!

You should get some heavier wire and try to widen the angle between your trunk and the first branch. Right now they are coming out completely parallel to each other, which looks artificial.
If you could bend the branch a little left and down, and the trunk a little up and right, I think it would be an improvement.
Let it grow for a bit, then cut off the growing tips as the branches gain vigor…
