I have known that im allergic to mango trees. My face swells and I get hives wherever I came into contact. Its itchy and painful and I avoid those sweet sweet delicious mangos at all costs 😔.
Maybe twice a year ill get struck with it and Idk what causes it other than mangos. I know I dont have any in the same taxonomic group, but I was wondering if any of yall had any experience. I have many rare plants and was wondering if any of them could cause it or my maybe my systemic.

Many aroid plants contain calcium oxalate crystals, which can cause irritation, allergic reactions, and can be toxic to pets/kids if they eat them. Usually not life threatening but enough to make them sick. Mostly will cause itching/burning where they come into contact with skin. Like if I work without gloves my palms will be itchy for a day or 2, but i suppose it depends on your sensitivity.
