This looks like rainbow echinocereus. If I were you I would find a nice wide shallow dish pot and plant this guy back as is and find a nice rock to place in the pot as a support for him to lay on. Would look interesting
Or up root and plant vertically and put a rock on its side for the crooked part to lay into. If that makes sense… just use rocks and make it look natural he’s gonna be interesting. (Make sure you keep the sun side to sun. The bottom half probably hasn’t seen much)

Try talking dirty to it. Or turn it in the light. It’s trying to get sunlight, so if you turn it, it might grow the other way. But really, love it as it is
