Transfered to soil too early?

I think I made a mistake..I proporgated two black velvet corms in moss and transfered them to soil when the first leaves popped up. Then I watered the soil with diluted fertilizer.. there must be a series of mistakes and one of the leaf is wilting and browning in the center and not opening up.. what exactly was the step that messed up my baby leaf?

This is the second time proporgating corms. The first time was a success and I'm getting cocky..

You should wait tell it has 2 fully open leaves. You can also just plant in soil in the first place.

I’ve had good success waiting for a 2nd leaf to pop before transferring it. I would suggest a smaller pot as well.

Maybe a bit. I wait until I have a very solid leaf. Preferably 2, but it seems my corms do not make it to two leaves before they die. But my black velvets are doing ok in new substrate with 1 leaf
