I’d like to blowout my small 4 zone sprinkler system, is it as easy as it seems?

I have small compressor, so I am guessing I just need to buy the male to male attachment for the hoses, disconnect from the top one at a time and just run the compressor in each of the four hoses until all water is out? Am I missing anything? Thanks in advance.

What is this system? Judging by the timer, is it drip irrigation?

  2. I want to know how you guys get enough water pressure to pull this off.

You’re way over thinking it. Just disconnect the hoses from the timer.

That timer needs to be brought inside over winter due to temperatures, meaning your hoses will be disconnected, making for an open system, not a closed system with rigid piping like an in-ground sprinkler system.

With an open system, the water can exit the hose as it expands when it freezes (and your hose is elastomeric), which isn’t possible with a closed system using rigid piping.

Yup. If you can disconnect it from head itself, you don’t even have to buy any fittings, just get a cheap air chuck on amazon with a rubber nozzle and stick in the end of the hose. This system is simple
