With a jade, you have options! I’d cut those long stems off, let them callus, and then stick back in the main pot. You could do the same with the individual leaves – drop them on the dirt and leave them alone and they will grow a sprout, pulling energy and stored water from the leaf. Or, follow either of those directions in a fresh pot of soil to get a new plant! I have never tried rooting in water but would expect rot could be an issue.
