I recently bought an Alocasia and it has already gifted me with a big leaf.
The "casing" of the leaf hasn't dryed yet and I think I see a new growth under it.
Is this normal or the casing can damage/block the new growth? Should i do something about it?
Also, could anyone id it?

Its normal, just leave it and it will die off naturally.
Perfectly normal don’t panic over it! New growth will always find its way to light so don’t stress it and don’t cut it off yourself x
Regarding ID,,, I nearly said Dragon Scale but off the shiny-ness and overall colouring; I’m going to say Sinuata ,, beautiful 🩷🩷
