Just got back from being away and rushing to get my lawn ready for winter. Have some thin spots and wanted to seed with fescue and maybe lay some compost/soil.
Depends where you live. If it’s stays like that for the next 3-4 weeks you’re fine.

If your temps stay like that for another month to six weeks you’re good. But I’m assuming that’s unlikely for cool season areas and IMO it’s too late at this point. You’re likely going to run into first frost and freezing temps before your roots really get established.

I’m a fellow South Easterner. Just seeded my lawn last weekend. We should be good. Just follow up in a month or two so I can see how I compare. 😁
