This is a monstera clipping given to me by a friend which had a multiple day journey from the UK to North America in a plastic bag. There was an unfurled leaf which ended up turning black and sagging off (I finished the job once I saw that it had rotten within and at the connecting point between the stem and the leaf. Now the black is slowly going down the stem and I wish to stop it. I think I see a new leaf growing towards the bottom of it and I don’t want it to be affected.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much.
( there is currently some cinnamon at the base and in the water, after seeing some advice for propagation online)
