Hey guys! I've got a black velvet Alocasia that needs repotting very shortly once it's new leaf unfurls and hardens off. I've only had it and my other alocasias around 5 or so months now so this is the first time experiencing corms! I was just wondering how big these fellas should be before picking them off to grow? There's currently 4 in here now, the plant is just so insanely happy, the roots are growing like crazy too haha.
I really want to wait for the corms to grow proper size before repotting but I don't think I'll be able to hold off that long, they're tryna burst through the little plastic cup 😂
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I really wanna grow some pups haha :33

Does that have drainage? I would wait til it’s way more root bound, like I can’t squeeze my nursery pots because there isn’t any room.
some of those appear to be bulbils which will suffocate sometimes if unable to reach the surface. the brown ones are corms tho. when about 3-4 millimeters across they are ready. the brown coating and then detaching on their own also means you can pull em out. here’s two bv corms i have in progress rn at different stages
