i remember the seaside house in herne. not a new episode.
I loved the house with the sea view but i would have taken the second house with a glimpse of the sea and maximized the potential.
As someone whose mother owned a beachfront house along the South coast in Sussex, honestly you don't notice the sea view after a short time but you do note the damp from the salt wind, and miss any garden space where nothing will grow well (wind and salt)
She's ony liked it cos husband likes it.

Glad to see Kirsty and Phil back! It was a new episod for me. I wouldn't have chosen the house by the sea in Herne Bay, for the same reasons other viewers mentioned and no garage and place for his bikes or motorbikes. Glad the younger couple found a house more affordable and convenaient for their family but liked the one Kirsty had found first.
As someone who spent summer holidays in Herne Bay, I remember the place not very welcoming with people having lots of pitbulls running in the park. I much prefered Whistable or Birchington even Margate.

I would’ve expected the older couple to be more reasonable and not go 20 k over budget on an impulse buy. Those single pane windows to the sea gave me the chills, it must be really cold there in winter. It’s not even a proper, detached house😳
A few thoughts: Phil, don't call yourself the Picasso of Property! You would only show houses with doors on the roof and windows facing into the cellar.
The gorgeous seaside Georgian: the occupant of the top bedroom would have to go down two floors to take a bath.
I loved that houseas a showpiece, but a sea view would not matter to me one tenth as much as it does to this couple. At least the husband will not have to go through a nightmare renovation project again just to please his wife, but I'm not sure he will find this house to be pleasant as a home.
I really liked the fourth house shown to that couple. I loved the abundance of woodwork and the big bay windows. Indulging in the fantasy of buying it for myself, I would change the fireplace surrounds to something more appropriate, install hardwood floors everywhere (no carpets for me!) and do some minor tweaking to the kitchen. That's it! It's a lovely home.
This is just the best darn show ever !!
Very emotional involvements. Makes one understand why there's such a thing as buyer's remorse when one foregoes amenities that tick the "practical" boxes in favor of a knockout view. It would be interesting to come back and find out years later what the long term view was.
