  2. Great video I loved the detailed information. Having the chapters provided by YouTube to fast forward/rewind makes it easy to navigate what part you want to watch. This helps those who want to watch quickly. Unfortunately, there is not an option for those who need the details if the video is heavily edited. This is why this video is wonderful for beginners. Having a section of unedited videos on your channel would be awesome. You could always post an edited version or shorts as well. 😉Thank you for all you teach and share!

  3. I've been gardening for 40 years and I still watched the whole video – even learned a few things! Thanks for taking the time to go through the whole process. Doing a longer video now and then is a great idea!

  4. I do admire how efficient and info packed your normal videos. But, every once in awhile it’s nice to have a long form video, the info sinks in and gives a nice relaxing time to watch you garden. So… I like both.

  5. This was great! I really enjoyed this format and would like to see more. I've learned so much from you, then you!

  6. Thank you so much for the videos that you make. I have been gardening for only about a year now, and I have watched HUNDREDS of videos. I have learned more from you and James P. than I have from any of the others. I do love this format, but I can see where it might be boring to someone who has been gardening for a long time. If you can throw one of these in once in a while, that would be great! Keep doing what your doing, I LOVE IT!!!
PS, We all love Dale!! Great boy!!

  7. I'm in zone 9, TX. I am using my GreenStalk vertical planters and some grow bags for my first time fall garden. Our temps cool down mid-Oct, so on Oct 6th, I transplanted red cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, kohlrabi and 4 varieties of lettuce. I direct sowed beets, carrots, green beans, 3 varieties of dwarf English peas, radishes and turnips. Planted potatoes end of Sept. Unfortunately, our temps are still in the mid-90s and lows at night in the 60s. My lettuces have taken a beating because of the huge temp swings. Due to the high heat, they are wilting and not doing well. I've decided to grow the lettuces in 1 gallon grow bags indoors on my grow station under grow lights. BTW, my red cabbage and cauliflower seeds didn't germinate well this year. I started more seedlings about 4 weeks ago and will transplant them in a couple weeks. Thanks for the comprehensive video about transplanting. Liked it.

  8. I really liked this format, and learned a lot through the little comments that you made that you might not even know you did 😅
It was also encouraging to know that you're not always perfect from the first attempt and need to make adjustments afterwards (e.g. spacing of your transplants).
I'd love to see more of this format peppered into your usual focused videos, maybe on a monthly basis.

Thank you for all the time, knowledge and passion that you share!!

  9. Perfect and appreciate you explaining in detail how the transplant seeds into your raised bed. Looking forward to more gardening ideas.

  10. Love all your videos. Im in Pittsburgh pa, zone 6b. I cant believe you can plant all those veggies now! Im still learning. I assume i cant plant broccoli & cauliflower now?

  11. This was AWSOME! I just wish I could do my own seed starts but alas…no place to do this and no adequate light. When I buy my starts I do the fertilizer, but my bone meal isn’t powder and I do see the value in that. I also didn’t think to end with the liquid fish emulsion, that makes so much sense…thank you!

  12. Awesome upload! Love your uploads even tho I may not totally agree sometimes (rarely) I think that it's normal for most folk – keep on growing on and stay safe – cuddles for Dale. God Bless! XxxX

  13. MG i appreciate your desire to vary it up a bit by producing a video in a different format than your norm, but quite honestly the way you have ALWAYS done your videos have been nothing short of excellent. Its crisp, to the point, educational, and DONE. Love your editing which makes the quality of your videos superb. Thats why I love your channel. While the content of THIS video was great, it was too long and drawn out and painful. I had to actually keep moving the video forward to get on with it. Sorry. Just being honest.

  14. Great video. I saved it so I can re-watch. Thank you. Your editing style for us beginners is appreciated.

  15. This was very comprehensive and helpful. I liked it, even though I've been gardening a few years, I learned a few good tips.

  16. Love this, very helpful. Think you should do a mix on shorter and longe videos…. Depending on the topic, but for"how to" videos, this in detail video was great! Thank you.

  17. Semi experienced gardener here; watched in real time & enjoyed! Truly appreciate your concise videos but will watch beginning videos in the future.

  18. You mentioned "robotic"…I have found a 4" auger on a cordless drill saves a lot of work for planting larger seedlings
    About $15 on Amazon

  19. At what point/overnight temperature do you usually put out your cold protection measures for your zone pushing fruit trees?

  20. Fantastic Southeastern friend. What day did you video this and can I plant broccoli and brussel sprouts in North Atlanta now? Thanks again awesome growing dude

  21. Wonderful video, but for us, too long as we get everything we need from you from your shorter ones. Whichever format you choose, we'll watch and simply fast forward at points, if need be. We have a fantastic going garden here in South Carolina thanks to your knowledge!! Thanks for sharing, sir!!

  22. I love the longer less edited format. Great information also great background! And yes, I agree feels more personal like everyone’s just hanging out together gardening which is really fun!

  23. Dude how in the world did you read my mind? I have been combing thru your videos looking for transplanting guides in anticipation for the spring season coming up. Got my amazon, home depot, and seed website carts full 😂 just waiting for after thanksgiving to get the freshest seeds possible.

  24. This, needed, even for someone who has been trying for 3 years, it was a good way to see what I have learned already in action by someone who has in a way mastered their process! Step by step!

  25. I loved the Victory Garden on PBS with Roger Swain. So I loved the video. And I would love frequent follow up on this bed through May. 😊

  26. What is the plant behind you on your right, with the red fruit? Tomato? It’s healthy looking. Personally, love the longer, slower video.

  27. You are the GOAT of gardening channels. It's like a video encyclopedia. I sincerely have appreciated all of your knowledge! It has saved me so much time and money. LONG LIVE THE SHADE CLOTH! Lol

  28. That was very helpful and also relaxing. How about considering (for select topics) full length vid like this one and a short version. I enjoyed this one in this instance as it was also relaxing to follow while unwinding. Plus watching you do the work in real time gave me a sense of what it really could be like – i'm a beginner. But sometimes i also prefer short form for quick understanding and refreshers.

  29. This was great & so helpful. I love the longer style video format, would definitely like to see more of this on the channel! Thanks so much

  30. I love your channel. Even as an experienced gardener, I learn so much from you and you inspire me in the middle of July when I'm exhausted and hot and sweaty and the mosquitoes want to feast on me. I am curious – have you ever considered soil blocking? It's the method I use and I swear by it. I know you would master it in no time! Thank you for sharing as much as you do. I know it's a lot of work to create content that matters!

  31. Thank you so much for this video it was very informative and I learned a lot from it. I started gardening in the spring of this year so I've been watching your videos I'm gardening on my balcony so I'm limited on space I have a 4ft raised bed and a few 10-gallon plant bags my spring garden didn't go so well but it was a learning experience I'm living in Houston Texas so I started some seedlings inside and I direct sow carrots, spinach, kale, and slobolt lettuce in the raised bed so this video teaches me so much that I didn't know. I'm so grateful for you, keep making videos like this I know it will help a lot of first time gardeners like myself.Thank you…
