I have been wanting to try planting garlic again for a while now. I wanted to try a bunch of different varieties so ordered 5 from @BurpeeGardening + a control variety that I got from the grocery store.
I wanted to try out this really cool raised bed from @SmartPots and it turned out really nice!

I filled this particular raised bed with a combination of Organic Compost, Organic Garden Soil and Rose Soil from my local @LivingEarthMulchSoil
Be on thd lookout for updates in a few months! Some of these varieties can take 6-8 months to fully mature!

Planting this weekend. I have a bunch of garlic from Walmart. I live in San Antonio so we'll see how it goes.
Seed garlic is expensive this year. i have heard that elephant garlic does better in the south than plain garlic but holy moly that is very expensive. i am working on my strawberry bed right now and bought some seed tape from Hoss.
Great video! Where did you purchase the fabric garden bed?
Woow, this is going to be an awesome bed of garlic! 🧄🧄 Did someone say garlic bread!? 🤔🍞

I'm in 8b in DFW. You can vernalize your hard neck garlic in the refrigerator before you plant it. Mine has been in the fridge about 2 weeks now. I'll plant in November when we're consistently done with 90 degree weather.
Turn your volume up a little
I am planning on garlic for next spring, I have several varieties in paper bags, in my refrigerator for the winter. I will get them in my greenstalk containers in February. Zone 7B/8A. I would plant them now, but the chickens are digging up everything and I want these to survive.
