Gardens by the bay was part of the nations plans to transform its “Garden city” to a city in the garden”, aimed at raising the residents quality of life by enhancing greenery and flora in the city. The gardens were intended to be Singapores main outdoor recreation spaces and the nations main tourist icon.
Rated number 8 on the world’s top attractions, the park had 50 million visitors on 2018. The super trees which reach up to 50m into the air replicate the earths tallest trees. The trees also collect rain water, generate solar power and act as venting ducts for the parks conservatories
