We grow and raise 80% of our food on our small 1/2 acre homestead through raising a productive vegetable garden, orchard and farm animals. High Tunnel Link:
https://s.vevor.com/bfQGlt. Being self sufficient can be done with the right planning, intensely planting, a few fruit trees, raising small farm animals like goats, chickens and even turkeys. See how Ali and her husband manage their small 1/2 acre of intensely planted garden, what types of animals they raise and make it all work for them. Ali’s biggest advice is to lean on God and be thankful for what we have been given.

Thank you so much for this video. I'm starting out with a garden that has to be done off the ground. Many challenges to overcome. The information you supplied is very helpful.
Awesome! Just bought 34 acres in Tennessee and can’t wait to get started homesteading! Even started our own YouTube channel to document it all.
Yes hsrd work and God's divine provision..subscribing now❤
Lovely property. The dream!

Absolutely love it. Your garden is much dream. So beautiful ❤
You’re a rare gem. God bless you
Very nice and informative. Good night
Do you have data showing an approximation of how many total calories your homestead produces in any given year?
I welled up when you gave God His due glory❤ I loved watching this! Thank God for you sharing.
1/2 acre? Of course its enough, its even enough to feed 3 family
Its amazing great content
“Your hard work through God” Beautifully said!!! How refreshing to hear you giving glory to God for your prosperity 💕💕💕
It
And Thank God daily .. Thank you so much 💚💚💚
Is your total property 1/2 acre, or just your yard? I’m on .64 acre but that includes my home and a few out buildings, goats, and chickens. I’m about an hour north of you so my growing zone is 6a. I love your videos. You inspire me to get going with my plans to grow more and do more with what I have been blessed with. Thank you Ali!
I'm so glad that I came across your YouTube. I'm trying to catch up from your old videos. This what what I've been wanting to do myself. Very manageable size compared to others that I've been following for sometime now. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences. May God bless you and your family and your farm.
I really enjoyed watching this 1/2 acre tour! How inspiring 😀 I am saving up for my first little bit of land, i dont think i will ever afford a mortgage or anything like nearly that expensive,, but its so empowrring to see what just half an acre could bring to my family ❤- god bless to you and yours ❤❤
Wonderful! ❤
I don’t know how it’s possible to even learn all this… do you have a garden map or seasonal gardening blueprint ? Absolutely amazing! I love that you gave God a lot of credit. He is a master gardener, but wow you are diligent!
Wow, the way you explained crop rotation at 3:45 is so insightful! I never thought about it that way
'Give us today our daily bread', I found it in gardening. Work, enjoy nature, skills oops
❤Good to see variety of vegetables & fruits in your farm.( I too love organic farming, spend my full time in farming)
I just found you here. I love your layout of your property. Will be watching more of your videos for sure. You have most of the same beliefs (in God and gardening and raising meat) as we do. I see you have a Flow Hive. Do you recommend it for a small homestead? We have 4 acres and I'm up there in age but want to get into bees.
We just got into raised beds this year and will add to it for next year. We have 8 so far. We want to double that.
I inherited my parents (my home too) home when my mother passed. So, I'm rebuilding on what they established.
We had to start over a new orchard. Our old apple orchard is over 100 years old and the trees are deteriorating. 😢 We planted several types of new apple trees plus, pecan, peach, plum and cherry. Our grapes are still young but Lord willing, they'll give us fruit next year.
We too have chickens, ducks, a tom turkey (his mate died so we're looking for a hen), rabbit buck (looking for a doe), and goats (2 bucks and 2 does) which we do sell the kids and chicken and duck eggs for extra income.
We forage on our property too. We found Autumn Olive and wild raspberries (we have a raspberry patch where I put up 1/2 pints in the freezer), golden rod, mullein, curly dock (which I turn all 3 into medicine). Maple tree taping for syrup. (We live in the mitten).
It's good to see a family that has the same beliefs and most of what we do here on our homestead here on YouTube.
This was a great video. Thank you for the tour and explanations.

Video is incredibly inspiring! It showcases how sustainable living is achievable, even on a small scale. Growing 80% of your food on just half an acre is a testament to the power of planning, resourcefulness, and dedication.Great!
Wondering where this is located? Curious about the climate over the winter that’s allowing year-round gardening. Love this so much!
This was so beautiful❤. Thank you for sharing!
