  1. Seeing you do the review in a location that looks freakishly similar to the set is so cool, good thinking Batman!

  2. Thanks for the review, the location is really special. I'm considering picking this one up, like you said before, its a very nice set, I would love to add this to my collection. Keep up the great work. Greetings from Vienna Austria.

  3. It was great to see this set reviewed on location! It really added a new depth to the quality of the video production!

  4. I have very little interest in the structure.
However, the plants would be awesome for my small city.
Wonder what chances are of getting a few "botanical" sets that are minifig scale and loaded with plants of all sorts and types and sizes.

  5. Our boy is pushing the boundaries of LEGO reviews! What's next? Can't wait to see a Mustafar set review…😉😄

  6. I'll be honestly. I'm not really disappointed that they decided to not make the garden connect with modular sets. Every botanical garden I've ever been to has been away from other buildings, often on its own landscaped property. So having this and then surrounding it with some 16×32 (or other size) baseplates to blend it into a city I think would work really well.

  7. Everything about this set is good except for the fact that it sits on a flimsy 1.6mm baseplates. I serious don't understand why the designers did this.

  8. Glad you can rep the RVA and give Lewis Ginter some props. You should build a matching Lego version for them to display during the Gardenfest of Lights coming up soon.

  9. If they can put dual molded legs for a random minifigure in a botanical set I'm sure Lego can also do this for literally NAMED CHARACTERS for Starwars minifigures. It's so disappointing. Even the rebel fleet troopers who are Iconic enough can't get them at a premium price.

  10. Box was opened, clearly he didn't crack the set at the garden, and build it there. Hilarious seeing him act the contrary, so awkward. You're not a good actor bro!

  11. Lovely review, and a lovely LEGO set. I just hope it will be cheaper soon. I think I want multiples of this. Or get 2 of the original Botanical garden and just have the combined one of that with this next to one another.

  12. What a creative background to review the set! Really liked the comparison to the Friends set and the Mansion. Your review was the best one of all the reviews I have seen on this set. Well done!

  13. Hmm, I think I like the higher building from the original ideas version a bit more, with the massive tree on the side. The autumn leaf tree is a nice touch, as are the nice parts usages in the great variety of plants.
I consider this an amazing build and clearly a much bigger and more detailed version of the Friends set. However, for the price, I don't think it is completely filling up the value that you'd expect. $330 dollars is just massively expensive and while I do love it aesthetically, especially compared to that awfully simple X-Mansion, it is something I prefer to pick up on a big discount or not at all.

Also, I love that place where you filmed the review. That botanical garden looks a fair bit like it, a beautiful place to go and visit some day.

  14. Kudos for filming on this beautiful location, it makes this review stand out. Also, I always like that you do side by side comparisons with other sets.

  15. It's not a street building. I doesn't belong between buildings on a street. It belongs in a large open space, in a park or a botanical garden, surrounded by plants, trees and greenery. So I don't really get the ''argument'' that is not a modular building. Like Old Fishing Store belongs on a shore.

  16. Next level review!! Well done! I absolutely love the location. Looks like an amazing conservatory. What an awesome comparison. I agree that the set is a bit overpriced. I thought the $329 to $429 Canadian seemed a bit of a high conversion, too. So not sure if I will get it or not. It does look like a great set.
