  1. ♥♥♥ for the boss. Would love to order the Nikita's Gift. Do you recommend any growers? Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge as always.

  2. James, as a fellow NJ resident, I'm glad you exist.

You should bring a camera crew to my backyard and do a "Garden assessment and repair" video

  3. I have never tried this fruit, but I will see if I can find one to try.

Thank you for this informative video, I learned a great deal.

Can't wait to see what raised bed you are working on.

  4. This probably won't do well in semi tropical north port Florida. Those persimmons looks amazing

  5. I love your strawberries. Do you have a video talking about different strawberries varieties and how get big strawberries. Thanks

  6. I buy Fuyu Persimmons when I can find them. They are NOT good before they're very mushy and feel like they're about to burst.

  7. I grew up in the mountains of Tennessee. There were two types of persimmons that grew wild there. The fruit was about the size of a silver dollar. One was very smooth and roundish with no leaf blossom or leaves at the stem like a tomato. It ripened in the summer and dropped off the tree when they ripened. The other persimmon had the fruit blossom at the stem like yours. The fruit was more flattened and more fibrous than the other persimmon. And, they stayed on the tree late into the fall even after a few frosts. They tasted best after being exposed to colder weather.

  8. my persimmon tree always gets small fruit in early days in Australia, but hasnt fruited for6years of her life sadly..

  9. The deciding factor for me is that squirrels don't eat American persimmon. Asian persimmons get decimated by squirrels before humans can eat them.

  10. Thank you for another awesome video. I am waiting, hoping, you will post how to treat young cherry and apple trees prior to winter. Do we need to spray, prune? Again, thank you and Tuck🥰

  11. I've been growing persimmons for a decade without issue but this year (in Maryland) the evil squirrels discovered the trees and started an early harvest. I bagged the fruit but they just pulled the fruit down anyway. In the end, it was not a good season for the squirrels or me but I'd like to not repeat the issue next year. Any suggestions?

  12. Thank you for that information regarding the American persimmon. I have one in my garden which my dad purchased many years ago. I had it in my mind to get rid of it for that very reason, now thanks to you I'll keep it. I do have another around the same time which produced once, and hasn't since, however, because I'm also infatuated by the beauty of its foliage in the autumn, so it remains. I'm from New Zealand and our native fauna are mostly evergreen so a splash of color from deciduous tress are very attractive. Thanks again, Nuku noa.

  13. I bought a persimmon at the local big box hardware store that said it was hardy to -30! We shall see! (I’m in zone 4-5.) No idea what kind it is. I’ve only eaten one persimmon (that I remember) in my life, but it was quite good! The harder kind, not the jelly kind.

  14. I probably need to prune the fruit on some of my apple trees. I have 4 that are heavy producers. They all only really produce every other year. Fortunately, 2 are full while 2 and empty. The lesser producers always have apples.

  15. Thanks for sharing your persimmon tree. Can you tell me from. Where I can get Nikitas Gift persimmon variety? I live in nj. Thx
