I have been growing Bush Blue lake for many years now, my plan for the crop is canning. I like them because of their wonderful flavour but I have been having problems lately! I think they need to do a reselection of the seeds because there are a couple of off types, there is a real mix in the quality of the plants. Even though I am on a four year rotation I have trouble with Anthracnose and bacterial brown spot! I’m thinking to switch to a new bean with a good disease package, I see that some are available but I worry they are high fibre shipping beans and won’t can well. I hope I can find the right been!

We are in Texas, new to gardening, just planted green beans in a couple of small cardboard boxes, when should I transplant them to a bigger raised bed?
We are in GA and have had tons of rain….however it is in the 90’s. It’s hot! We have had several full sized beans. We have had a lot of baby beans dropping which is so disappointing. No pests. (I am a neem and peppermint oil fan). Anyway. Any suggestions? Have about 10 plants. Thank you for all the info.

My beans plants are tall and have blooms but no beans yet still they had everyhting for soil put in and also giving them totmato fertilizer. Last year they produced so many this year none yet what could be the issue.? I sprayed the plants with neem ealier since beetles were plowing through. it mid Aug and nothing yet , but they look so healthy
