  1. Love, love, love your waddle fence and kitchen garden! It's perfection! 😊
I definitely want to try the heat tolerant lettuce mix! πŸ‘©πŸΌβ€πŸŒΎ

  2. For the cucumber trellis, to have them growing straight up you could attach a length of chain from the pergolla to the veggie bed and there attach it with a garden staple.
That veggie bed already looks amazing!!

  3. I'm so excited for you. My family always grew veges and it's a tradition that I've continued and I'm so happy my son has, too. My daughter has no interest. Each year I grow more and more. I have 6 big artichoke plants, I've started 10 different tomato varieties, cucumbers, squash, peppers, pole beans, peas, and I'm going to try green onions. I can't wait to see how your veges grow. I love hearing the chicken. We just recently have a neighborhood chicken that I don't know who she belongs to. She stuck around me as I pulled weeds on Sunday and Monday and then flew over the fence to the neighbor's yard. Today she sat on the fence and watched me and my dog. I think she thought the chicken was a squirrel. I'd hate for her to hurt the chicken.

  4. Looks great, nice PW noticed you. I took everything off my Grans old swing set and put that on the edge of the veg garden, then grew some tomatoes and cukes up clothesline cord, if you tuck the line in the soil the weight of the vines should hold it down. Do you watch Charles Dowding on here, he's my no dig hero, he grows up lines in his greenhouse.

  5. Great job! I love your wattle fence! Your videos are very inspiring. I love how excited you are about Proven Winners sending you veggie seeds. Who knows maybe a Hartley will be in your future!

  6. How wonderful for you to get PW seeds! I am so excited for you. Your veggie garden is going to be beautiful. My Grandpa always had zinnias in his garden. He said it brought in all the good bugs to take care of the bad ones. You planning to plant vegetables with your girls reminds me of planting the garden with my Grandpa. They willing have those memories of time spent with Mom planting seeds and watching them grow forever.

  7. Your garden looks so sweet! Love the fence! And congrats on PW sending you seeds-eek! You may want to consider trellising all of your vine crops otherwise they may take over your entire garden because they expand so wide. Just a thought! Great video!

  8. Your channel is growing along with our garden! Proven Winners! Congrats! You've got everything it takes for a successful channel, and it is fun to see it grow. πŸ₯° Will you be mulching the kitchen garden at all?

  11. Your garden looks AWESOME! It is always really neat to see how you create your garden. I've learned alot by watching! I love flowers but tend to be more of a veggie gardener. Dont be surprised if your squash cross polinate. I had one year where I had planted pumpkins nad zuchini. They cross polinated! I had green running through my pumpkins and orange running through the zucchini! Also..you may be able to get your lettuce to keep producing all summer (and into early fall) by taking only the outside leaves off when you use it for salad. πŸ™‚ It is very fun to make salads from ones own garden! Have a wonderful day! Awesome video as always!

  12. Super job showing a small kitchen garden. Basil and parsley don't take up much room either and would love your heat. Great way to show how even a small garden can be worth the time and effort.
