  1. I have a few trimming/pruning questions (in zone 8a). My canyon creek abelias look out of control to me. I want them more rounded and contained. When can I cut them back and how far do I cut them back? Also, when should I cut back my Gregg's mistflower and variegated liriope?

  6. Planting 7gal. PJM clay soil VERY clay soil. I planted with about 2 inches above ground with leaf grow. I planted one in July. They are dead now. Rolled leaves and maybe too deep and got root rot. I hope planting higher helped.

  13. 7a….i have multiple transplanting to do, lil ditty viburnum, privet, karl forester grasses, hydrangeas, butterfly bushes, what's the best date. i have multiple plants arriving late september, the nursery picked the date so guess because a better date to plant?
