Cheap Modern Landscaping

Cheap Modern Landscaping. Gravel is just the finishing touch! Before I made this video I had to pour two sets of concrete steps, 11 rectangle sidewalk sections and three concrete window wells, all of which have their own videos.

  1. good vid! i will , it seem slike in section u added a lot of rocks/granulars abot 3 inches, so maybe the weight of the crushed stone didn't help towards the bowing issues, right?

  2. Where did you get the walkway lighting? The black path lights in the front yard?

  3. Why the hell would you put that much gravel in your front yard. Maintenance nightmare but to each their own

  4. What borders would you use instead of the metal ones that bend? Tia

  5. Awesome! And my last name is van Dam!! So awesome name also! Cheers from The Netherlands.

  6. Amazing video brother. You have a sub and a like from me 🥲

    Good looking brother. Amazing job.

  7. What are the large square pavers called? I love the look. Wanting some 48” x 48” pavers but can’t find the name.

  8. Where does one find the dark gravel??? I can't find it anywhere. Is it called something special??

Also, what size are the stones/pavers?

  9. Some great tips there. Thinking out loud, I wonder if tacking the plastic strip onto some old wood may help stabilise it? I know wood will warp, but with the odd long stake it could be hammered deep every metre to ensure its sturdy. We keep any old wood and it always comes on handy. Thanks for the video.

  10. Hi, great video, I like the idea. I was considering installing a concrete slab or pavers on a small triangular area in my front yard. However, for both options, I need a permit and a site plan. I will probably cover the triangular area with gravel. The reason why I want to cover this area is because it's just dirt and I have to cross it each time I enter the house. Thank you.

  11. Amazing work. Did you buy the concrete stepping stones or did you build them?

  12. Hi VanDam – does the ground have to be completely flat before pouring or does the concrete accommodate for bumps and irregularities?

  13. Great video! Did you just tamp the ground and put concrete paver on it, or did you put gravel underneath pavers? Thank you!

  14. Imperfections are what makes a thing. Too many of our gardens and houses nowadays are cookie cutter types.
