Container Gardening

Starting A Container Garden For Free In On A Tiny Patch Of Concrete

This is patio gardening on a budget, I promised earlier this year that I would do a series on container gardens based on how we used to grow when we didn’t have access to a garden. I’ll demonstrate just how much food can be grown in a tiny amount of space all on an extremely low budget. This is patio gardening on a budget
A lot of these ideas are ideal for a balcony garden, no need for fancy or expensive planters grow with what’s available.

  1. Thanks Mothin, I had never thought to add my kitchen waste to pots like this rather than the compost pile. I shall try this

  2. This is great! I do something similar over winter; in the autumn I take the Halloween pumpkins and sink them into leftover pots of soil/compost and it creates beautiful compost by Spring!

  3. Great ideas to inspire people who are on a budget and worried about the cost of gardening. My question is what happens when the food has decomposed and the plants are starting to sink in deeper into the container? Many thanks

  4. What can I say , it's old school and it works . I literally do nothing diffrent and why should I as old school is always the way . Great to see your passing it down god bless

  5. I've already applied some of these tips this week. Seconding everyone complimenting you on the authenticity. We'd all love a Gardener's World garden or permaculture food forest but the reality for a LOT of folks is slabs, tarmac, maybe a postage-stamp size lawn that has to serve lots of purposes in the garden. You're out here working with the things real people have access to! Brilliant vid anyway!

  6. love your methods of filling up the containers ๐Ÿ™‚ one thing i want to ask, when using compost from last years containers, do you not worry about slugs etc being in that soil?

  7. A great video helpful in saving money and recycling. I can't believe what I could have used but threw away. Not anymore. Thank you for this video.

  8. compost is just way too expensive, you could mix manure and garden soil etc. to make things go further.

  9. I was littarly about to go to my local garden centre to buy more pots and compost.. so happy I watched this channel… I cut the grass yday so I will use that to fill… only just started planting but I've caught the bug

  10. Ma'sha'Allah brother, and JazakhAllah for all the helpfull tips subhanAllah

  11. Thank you so much for this. I have just filled up my enormous veg trug using all the raspberry and clematis prunings in the base. Keep up the good work.

  12. Keep coming back to this video – it's the best on this method.

  13. HOW CAN I STOP MY NEIGHBORS CAT FROM DOING ITS BUSINESS KN MY PATIO

  14. Thanks for info ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘ Iโ€™m thinking of planting in containers when the starts on my greenhouse tables go out to the garden and space opens up.

  15. Your garden looks amazing! I can see you put a lot of hard work into it and it really shows in your plants. I wanted to get out in my garden today and plant some cucumbers but it was our first 90+ degree day of the year and I just could not handle the heat. I just love to garden but I still have a lot I want to learn. I make garden videos too. I hope we can learn more from each other as we grow our gardens! ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒป๐Ÿ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿซ‘๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐ŸŒพโ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ‡

  16. Maybe an idea to make videos for small gardens designs. I have a new house with a garden 50m2, so designing my garden i am thinking to have a sitting/walking area of 25 m2, pathway 5m2, shed 5m2 and dont know what to grow in 15m2. I know i will go vertical. But what can be recommended for me? Maybe you can show a 15 m2 garden and advise what to plant. I think a lot of people in the city wouldn't plant more than 20m2.
