Its that time of the year when garden centers and nurseries are making a shift. Getting rid of summer plants to make space for winter. Best time to buy to save some bucks.
I was inspired by one of your videos, maybe last year, to check out the clearance plants at local garden centres more regularly. It's been so worth it. I found one that has had a huge clearance section all year. Just recently I got some beautiful sedum for more than half price and they were in really good condition.
I'm not sure if you know much about the sea oats, but in case you don't know, they are really aggressive with spreading their seeds. I work in Landscaping and we maintain a property that has them, they definitely are a plant that will take over a huge section if you let them. They are absolutely beautiful, and I love the sound they make in winter when they are dormant and the wind blows through them. I love your videos! 🥰
Cannot wait to see the start of this project. May I suggest that the space in bet those arborvitae are at least 8’ just in case you decide in the future to get a cart to use in that huge lot.
How big is your lot? And it’s would be no fun to create all your gardens overnight. It’s all in the adding to a garden each year that makes it rewarding. 😁

Suggestion. You might want to raise the canopie on those Crapemertals. The bark and design on their trunks are beautiful on them. I have 4 in my garden.
You are hilarious 😂 I am so the same! There is nothing more exciting than clearance plant finds! You make me want to drop everything and RUN to the blue and orange stores right now! They need to pay you for these little find videos girl!
I like your plans. I'm doing something similar with markdowns. I know you have deer problems but do you are anyone have problems with voles and if so what are you doing to try to keep them under control???
The orange store has a "dead plant" section by the dumpster on the side. I asked the nursey lady if I would get in trouble if I took them and she said no, they're about to go to the composted. I scored a bunch of plants still in their nursery pots. Just a FYI, swing by the dumpster when you go.

Look into Brazilian Sky Flower they love full sun and flower beautifully. They grow fast and will fill space for you.
