Thank you for all the comments. I really appreciate all of them. I made it this way because it was simple and easy. Yes, I could have dug a ditch and poured a footing but that is over kill as it is only a border between the grass and mulch. I'm sure it will crack and shift over time but I can fix it very easily. As of this comment, it has been there 10 months and went through the winter with no problem. The kids have walked all over it and no rocks have came loose. If I (or any future owner) want to ever replace it, I don't have to rent a jackhammer and back fill the hole.
I think your bricks are setting on dry concrete dust. And the little bit around the edges that did get wet is going to wash the concrete to the bottom and leave only the aggregate on top. Nice try but it is gonna fail
I’m noticing the very interesting circular feature, with points something like you see on a compass etc.… Did you create it? Or did you purchase it? If so could you share with me where you were able to purchase it. Thank you so much sincerely, love your place.Jerry
My Mom did something like this when quikrete became all the rage in the 80's. It was there over 20 years later when she passed. Still looked great. Just saying.
Wait until a year or two passes it will shift ,move lateral and horizontal. In the construction business prep is everything. You don't prep it does not last.
Incredible ! Might try this because I have some of this plastic edging in my garden. It does the job , but looks impermanent & unsightly. Thanks for sharing this ! ❤
