  1. What kind of paint do you use on your totes? Your channel is SO inspiring! Thank you!

  2. I came on YouTube to look for one of your videos regarding what to fill a tote with. I don't have much but will look for some more stuff.

  3. Thank you for showing this again. I saw your other video, but i liked this one too.

  4. Robbie, you and David the Good get it. Gardening is as expensive and complicated as one wants to make it, but you two distill God's perfect design down to its essential elements and simply imitate it in your own garden. Brilliant, naturally 😊 ~ Lisa

  5. I am new to your channel and a wannabe gardener. I am gluded to your site and eager to get going . I live on Vancouver Island 6 months and 6 months in Mexico. We have a problem in Mexico with Raccoons and if you leave any kind of foor out they will sneak in and make a mes. We are awake to this and take precautions. If i srart a bucket garden how do you keep them at bay ? I saw your mesh program but dont think that would be strong enough ??? thoughts?

  6. Thank you Robbie can't wait until hubby and I start planting this year with container raised beds. Thank you for showing us the correct way! Have a good day. 😃

  7. Do you have kiwi that you are growing from seed? I need to know how to harvest the seeds and then plant. Please help. Thank you.

  8. Thank you so much for this video! Does this method of building up the container work for all types of vegetables or just some?

  9. Hi Robbie. I have been growing veggies in totes and it is going very well. I have harvested a couple squash. How do you get your veggies to grow so big? I add plant food such as worm tea and compost tea but my squash is only about 6 inches. Still very tasty. So not sure if it is because the totes are only 18 gallon and not bigger.

  10. Hi Robbie. I am off subject but I don’t know what to do about crows coming to take a bath, we’ll, they try but the little water fountain I have for my small hummingbirds and other small birds, so the only thing the crows do is scare the small birds away and they just bathe one big wing at a time! Please advice!

  11. Excellent! Thank you so much! This is going to spread my good potting soil go into more containers.

  12. This video is a God send! My husband and I repurposed two wood shelving units from our garage to make raised beds. I was able to fill up one section of one shelving unit about a month ago with branches that we got from trimming trees in our backyard, and mix of gardening and potting soil. But I did not have enough soil to fill up the other sections. Right now it has only chopped up branches from the trees we trimmed in them. I didn't really want to spend too much money to buy enough soil to fill the other sections of the two shelving units. Thank God for this video! I have plenty of leaves and grass clippings among other things. That I could put in the bottom of these beds so I don't have to use as much soil to fill them. Thank you so, so,so much!😊😊😊

  13. In Canada our thrift stores like Goodwill and Value Village, sell totes for 7 to 10 bucks!

  14. Thanks, I'm gonna try this. Some of my totes have $18 a bag potting mix from bottom to the top. Whew! Seems reasonable to have your compost pile underneath your plants. I was afraid the decomposition would rob the plants of nitrogen though.

  15. Is there anything that's not good to put in the containers for compost/fertilizer? Flowers that have fallen off of tees? Diseased dried leaves that fall off a sick tree?

  16. You mentioned at the end of your video that you can do layering in the ground. Did you mean just dig a hole or till up the are and work an area at a time like a tote size?

  17. Hi Robbie. Another GREAT VIDEO!!! I was getting ready to ask about the DRAINAGE holes, side, btm or both…u THEN answered LOL👍👍👍

  18. I'm putting tgthr a Vintage Garden area. I picked up 6 free wood chairs & 20×20 stones…yes free! Using WOOD SEALER 2 protect & don't rot from drainage/rain. ThanQ for the REFRESH VIDEO!

  19. Can I save the liquid that drains from the bottom of my container s that has kitchen scraps and use that for my plants?

  20. Can I use coffee grounds in my containers? I've heard that coffen grounds are good for plants. Thank so much Robbie I'm growing plants in containers!! It is a lot easier on the back to put the container in a chair. You are right about everything!!!❤

  21. Tell us how you water all your totes! I'm in the FL panhandle and it can get very hot and before I know in a day, it could be dried up!

  22. YOU REALLY ANSWERED MANY OF MY QUESTIONS REGARDING "HOW TO FILL TOTES". I HAVE HAD NO UNDERSTANDING AS TO WHAT YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT UNTIL I WATCHED THIS VIDEO!!!! THANK YOU VERY, VERY MUCH! I WILL GET STARTED TOMORROW JUNE 19TH, 2022

  23. Hi Robbie, my name is Mary, I just retired and also moved to California this year, I discovered your chennel and watch you ever days so far I started 9 18 gallons containers since this August and everything that I planned still alive I always consider myself with the black thumb in the past, not anymore, I also learned how to make birth baths start with 4 bird feeders too, I just want to say thank you, you have change
my way of gardening the easy ways that I can't mess it up, thank you, thank you Robbie, from Mary.

  24. Robbie have you ever added cut flowers from bouquets in your totes or compost? I hate to let that plant material go to waste, but I'm also sure they have been treated with pesticides, etc. So I was wondering if they are okay to use.
