  1. Irene, you are the absolute best when it comes to hardscaping and design! I also love the fact that you show us the reality of gardening – the mud, cuts, sweat, indecisions, laziness to fetch gloves and not just a perfect end product. We can all relate.

  2. those are strap-leaf vandas, the ones with flowers, lovely, yes, but quite difficult to maintain, as compared to terete or semi-terete vandas (altho, these need full sun exposure!! Anyway, job well done! Hello from the Philippines!

  3. HI Irene! New subscriber here. really love your videos and how you make planting looks so fun and easy, (well, the hard work of designing the garden and everything seems to be fun, too). Looking forward to more of your videos and excited to watch the previous videos as well. Oh my! you really inspire me. You're my newest plant idol, whatever that means haha. Love the channel, love the videos, love the garden and everything in it! ๐Ÿชด๐Ÿชด๐Ÿชด๐Ÿชด

  4. when handling those concrete blocks you really should wear steel toe capped boots for safety ok. you have a wonderful garden. well done from a uk fan

  5. Irene, for goodness sake, please use gardening glove, so that you don"t dirty or injured your delicate hand. I always wear glove when gardening .

  6. You and your channel are so cute, I love listening and learning from you, you keep it real and show us all aspects of gardening reducing any anxiety of getting a "perfect" garden and showing it's a progress. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š

  7. Wow, I feel so lucky to discover your channel! I feel like you would be a great friend to have๐Ÿ˜

  10. What I liked about your approach with plants is that you always consider how they would look good in the garden. I hope you do more garden make over. โ˜บ๏ธ

  11. My favourite plant Videooooooo thus far. This is a lot of hard work and finesse! Thanks for taking us through this journey and allowing us to feel your satisfaction!

  12. Next time don 't try to push, instead pivot. there would be less resistance of the gravel if you incrementally did a circle until you got it to where you'd like it, closer & infront of that white wall section.

  13. The next time instead of pushing, which caused you resistance from the gravel, pivot heavy things towards yourself so that in tiny increments you can move it in a circle while you also pull on it a bit. U may find that easier. Or use a fulcrum. Put something like a good sized rock a foot from the container, slide a thin strong pc of metal bar like a cat's paw or strip of plywood under the edge of container. Then step down on the bar & your container will move forward a bit. Repeat. You would be surprised what you can move if the rock or stack of bricks etc are large enough to create that fulcrum effect, like a wheelbarrel as a common one we all use.

  14. Loved the process of your makeover. made me laugh with some of the things that happen while you garden. cuts, get dirty etc…. start with flip flops and realize should have worm my clogs. So enjoyed your video and your new area looks lovely. Vanda orchids are wonderful becasue they keep their bloom for a long time. in the US I buy them and put them
in my shower area and it does well under my skylight. I just splash some water on it. . the roots turn green when watered.

  15. You know you can find a very good pair de gloves a good price in Home Depot, Target or Walmart. Also a very nice pair of gardenโ€™s boots. Will be easy for your hands and feet.

  16. While it stresses me that the vertical frame is crooked, I can't help but love it because of your relaxed nature Irene. You are so enjoyable to watch, I see myself doing these same things and can only imagine what a fun and beautiful friend you would be to have! Thanks for another wonderful video!
