  1. You're so right about having the garden to keep busy in! I'm loving being able to potter every day 🙂 I've been trying to get my head around crop rotation – do you do any crop rotation? or just let nature do it's thing as you were saying with letting things self sow?

  2. Where do you store your seeds? I’ve been keeping my seeds in the fridge but apparently that’s not the best storage place.

  3. Thank you so much for your gardening info. I’m just starting out and have a huge space down the front of my section covered in grass.
As you know we can’t really buy much at the moment. I’m trying to follow your clever no dig instructions and find cardboard.
We are in Upper Hutt (Wellington) it’s so nice to get tips from you as I didn’t know where to start to be honest.
Our lawn mower is broken too lol so the limited cardboard I have is sitting on the top of long grass.
If you know anywhere we can buy pea straw or a shade cloth from that delivers at the moment that would be great.
I have found some seeds online and hopefully they turn up later this week so I can make a start. Lots of love thank you from NZ

  4. Love your videos – so chocka full of handy advice and tips! All the best from the south island x

  5. Great job!! I loved gardening when I was younger and lived in the country! Oh how I would have loved your guidance at that time. Now I live in the city in an apartment. But I have a balconey that has good eastern rising sun. In a semi desert part of Texas. Would you make a video about container gardening in a small sunny area. Thank you for everything.!

  6. Your celery are looking great. I have planted them two seasons in a row (Wellington northern suburb) and always got a decease on them so I'm thinking next time to sow.

  7. Love your garden, your gardening technique, and your video. I only have small garden but my approach is same as yours. No dig, lots of organic coposted materials, and slugs and snails hunt. I do have worm bins and all my garden waste go there. I am limiting the amount of dead plant materials hanging around to reduce the slugs. My winter veggies are growing now. Miner lettuce and lamb lettuce. I have a place for them to grow like weeds (technically like perennial garden patch). Have you tried these lettuce?

  8. I’ve moved to a new flat just before lockdown. The landlord said I can plant anything I like in a small garden bed in the backyard. He used to grow a few things in there but it’s been neglected for over a year now. I’m not sure what I should do to get it going especially when garden stores are all closed & can’t get any garden supplies. Any advice, please? Btw I’m in Auckland’s North Shore.

  9. filling a new raised bed, what ratio would you use soil to compost? the garden is ready to start after lock down, I was just gonna fill it with compost but the neighbour said no it'll be too rich,

  10. Greetings from Adelaide – South Australia!! Lovely garden…sounds like you are coping well in this pandemic!! Cheers!! :-)!!

  11. Aaah I think it's the blue lake runner that we've got growing up our frame that you gave me. Going to harvest the beans tomorrow I think

  12. Really sustainable living idea, love your video, Great tips, for that reason I subbed your channel, thanks for sharing 💕💕🥰🥰👍👍 Hi from Australia

  13. Love your video, thank you! Very inspiring and giving me my gardening bug back! I've had years of renting and am finally back in my own property with 4.5 acres to plant a food forest in. We are in an alpine environment and at quite a high altitude 10 minutes from Queenstown, so many challenges, but we have a great landscape architect and a food forest enthusiast landscaper helping with our long-term vision. Thanks for your video!

  14. My dear new friend your garden is so beautiful ,your hard work , passion is appreciatable , beans ,tomatos ,sweet potato ,cabbage , superb harvesting
I enjoy too much ,my best wishesh with big thumbs up 🙏🌷🍃

  15. I love watching your Kiwi videos. I'm so envious of your big garden space! I love early autumn, it's such a lovely mellow time to work outdoors without baking or freezing! We planted our little section into a garden during the 2020 lockdown using cardboard to knock out the paspalum etc. With so much shade , especially in winter we have an allotment garden, as well as grow lots of veges in pots, in which we keep healthy soil by burying kitchen scraps in the centre- essentially worm farms in situ. The NZ spinach, celery, kale and rhubarb just keep on growing even without much sun all winter.

  16. Lovely videos! I’ve always used newspaper, but these days it’s not so easy to come by. Do you find any problem with termites when you use cardboard? I’m in FNQ, so they are an issue potentially.

  17. What a well educated young Lady. I just subscribed. So nice of you to help your Neighbour. I’m going to watch this Video again. Totally awesome.
