  2. Your container garden looks awesome… we've just gotten in our 5 of our raised beds with 2 more to go, plus the 4 earth boxes and I believe I now have 9 wicking tubs… hillbilly blue and otherwise 💙. We also just ordered Vego beds for the front yard and to get them in this next week, depending on our crazy weather 😜

I pickle Zucchini Squash… love it… cold pickling keeps it a bit crisper however we absolutely love them…
    Blessings 🌞

  3. Tomatoes already? The daffodils and hyacinths that I planted last fall have just started to bloom in Colorado.

  4. Do you have a page listing all components please as I'd like to actually set up my blackberry plants this way — brand names or name of the component, volume of product needed thank you. PS really like this system

  5. Garden is looking awesome. Man that wind storm came through our area, SW Louisiana. A land clearing contractor was working next to my Homestead, the wind blew embers from a burn pile well over a 100’ fire lane and set the land behind me on fire and the La. Forestry service came in and dug some fire lanes but tore up some decent cleared land and took out some fencing. But they were able to contain the fire.

  6. Out of my 15 tomato plant the frost killed one over night and didn’t faze any of my other plants. I don’t know if you use Pickle Crisp in your canning recipe but you might want to use it for pickled squash.

  7. W.t.g.Alan, looks great. Us Okies won't plant maters before April 15th. Sure enough weather next week around Easter 🐣 will get cold. Yes, Red Snappers our our favorite mater, had 13 on one cluster last year.

  8. Eat yard long beans when they are tiny little green threads or when they are fully formed and just eat the beans. When tender, they are amazing stir fried with garlic or substituted for asparagus when you're craving. Great, very Texas heat tolerant bean that produced for us all last year until a freeze killed them.

  9. I have to stop watching your videos this time of year. It makes me feel like I’m behind getting my seedlings into the boxes. I’m in zone 8b and it’s going to get into the mid-high thirties at night. I can’t pull the trigger. Full me once shame on you Mother Nature. Fool me 10 times, shame on me. -Davy

  10. Love your container garden. For the squash, what or how do you prevent squash bugs. I can never get a plant to live long enough to make a squash. the bugs just eat them up.

  11. I enjoyed the pickled squash for the first time last year. My children even liked them. Just process like cucumbers. Thanks for your garden update.

  12. We jarred up a whole bunch of pickled squash. Sweet and regular. Kiddos loved them. I believe I followed the ball recipe for cucumber pickles. We didn't produce much last year.

  13. Really like that idea of the tubing to hold down the earth box cover. I’ve been trying to purchase some but can’t find anyone willing to just sell enough for one box. Maybe 3 ft total. If you have a vendor who will, I’d be interested so I can buy some

  14. Great information on washing off the frost before the sun comes up. My potatoes got “frost scorched”, so to speak. Thanks.

  15. I fermented pickled my squash last year. Liked them more than the cucumbers. I did them both in spears and whole. Also radishes

  16. What material is that white cover that you have on your containers? Plastic? Or some kind of fabric?

  17. I was wondering whether using containers with potting soil would eliminate nematodes and other soil bourn diseases.Have you read or heard anything about this? Thank you for the videos.
