  1. Looks great! I'd love to see it again in a year or two when everything has grown in!

  2. the plant selection is really nice, when imagined about the full grown stage, but based on what were these plants selected? Is it the climate, the soil, aesthetics, plant behaviour?

  3. Is it necessary to use landscaping material before putting mulch down? We had used a "10 year warranty" landscaping fabric on our 60 foot berm and with in 1 year weeds were coming through the fabric. It all needs to be redone. My new plan is to bypass the landscaping material using a pre-emergent, then 4 inch layer of mulch. Do you think this would be sufficient? When is the best time to place shrub irrigation in the project? The berm in the video is beautiful and similar to how I would like to have my berm. 🙂

  4. Hello John,
I appreciate your hard work. i want to know if I take pictures and measurements to our house can you design it and give a list of plants and let me know if you can how much that will cost me oh by the way we are in SC.
thank you and have a blessed day.

  5. Do you plant heavy in deciuous shrubs because of heavy snow drifts. Im in SC so I have to be careful to maintain winter interest.

  6. The before pic 1:23 looks like they might have had chich bug issues…

If you have a sunny yard, do yourself a favor and read up on these things. It might just save your lawn.

  7. Thanks for your video! I have property that had a house on it. The demolition left alot of mounds. I'm trying to clear it all and make it beautiful.
You look like James Murray from Impractical Jokers!
