  1. Hey, that was a good video, really got a good chuckle on some of the humor tossed in! As for those arborist chips and stumps….. just pile it up if you have spare yard space! Make mountains out of it, because guess what…. the worms, air, water, and time will break much of it down. Take those few remaining big pieces and fill a raised bed bottom. All the rest is awesome humus!

  2. I like the advice provided to save money specially in hard times, I think is important to recycle mainly because it will help with global warming. I like the area where you planted the raised beds. what city is it? love the nature

  3. "sweat equity." Ha! Great term. I also just learned a new term for my pile of old junk that I like to keep in the shed so I can repurpose things in the garden (or in making and fixing stuff around the house): "future resource center." Sounds a lot better than "junk pile," don't you think? 😉 Thought that you might appreciate that little nugget.

  4. Just found your channel and you're so funny! Your attitude towards gardening is so similar to mine. Keep making videos!

  5. Great video! I found someone who was moving and had left over yard sale items at the curb. I scored so many garden things including hundreds of nursery pots. SCORE! I was so lucky.

  6. Hay! Just gotta share… Boy and I went by bike on a resource recon mission, came across a yard waste bag, went back vehicled for it and found a couple clumps of clover for the chicken run and by the time I got to the center of the leaves and grass, it was steaming! Gettin' that freeprecompost!
Little nervy when you come across the surgical gloves…but it's otherwise junk free non junk! Found a guinea pig cage this morning too!
What do y'all do without alleys? Lol!

Thanks again for the videos and like-minded community!

  7. So glad that u presented your video here. Thank u so much…..for your alternative ideas for containing a garden. Most of my garden occurs in my backyard…..and I need for it to function/serve me well…..not necessarily to impress the neighbors. So your advice is helping me…..so much. So grateful to you. Thank you!!! Ahna

  8. OUTSTANDING! You manage things VERY WELL! Organization is SOOOO important! You are very efficient! How inspiring!

  9. In north Mississippi, we have wild bamboo type cane. Most people hate it, because it multiplies and is hard to kill. Therefore, they are happy to allow you to cut all you want. Tie five together about a foot from the top and spread them out like a tripod. Great for pole beans and will last a few seasons.

  10. On wow Carrol! You really encouraged me! I thank you! I feel so much more confident I am 70. I have gardener some but had to work as a RN…I am really looking forward to it now. I know God used you to encourage me! Thank you! I will follow you along as we go! You can teach and old dog new tricks!

  11. Thank you for this video. You had me cracking up! Looking forward to watching more of your videos. I am a beginner and learning. Thank you so much.

  13. John 3:16
    King James Version
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

  14. You're amazingly talented in making videos that are super entertaining and uplifting. I could see you acting in LA or in NYC as a regular on SNL. Ady Bryant, move over, girl! Anna is here to take over!

  15. This is the first video of yours I’ve watched and I’m hooked. Love your personality and the way you deliver information where I can understand. And you’re funny lol that’s a bonus!

  16. You can make a fence by driving sticks into the ground an inch or so apart around your garden for your fence posts, and then put long sticks between them horizontally, then you just need some chicken wire or something to go over that to keep out the smaller animals.

  17. My dad used to collect sea weed from the beach and use that for compost, just a tip for those who live closer to the ocean and maybe not near farmland where animal manure is easily accessible, if you have a way to transport it, even just a shopping bag full each day a person could collect alot of seaweed for their garden over time.
