    Thanks for the heads up on Lowe's spring festival. I went yesterday and got free seeds and a couple of other things. It officially starts in a couple of weeks according to the internet. I will go back next week to check for freebies again though. Have you considered making your own fertilizer compost instead of MG? I used to use MG years ago until I noticed I had to keep using it to get results. It doesn't improve your soil quality. After researching and seeing other homesteaders and gardeners I used my own chickens and yard waste (leaves, twigs, etc.) and have notice a HUGE difference in growth. I put some compost on my raspberry one fall and the next spring that bush was 10x bigger and sent out new plants! It had been this little crusty bush for three years giving us a handful of berries.
