The first planters actually do have holes. There are little tabs in the bottom that you punch out.

Most of the Dollar Tree plastic pots have spots on the bottom to easily punch holes with a screwdriver/hammer,
Those little clay pots are excellent! I use them for all kinds of small plants.

Today I decided to go to the store I imagined was (one of the) largest Dollar Tree stores in NYC, with the main purpose of stocking up on gardening supplies.
I traveled 1:30h back/forth only to discover they don't even have a gardening section. Crushing disappointment. 🙁
You have a beautiful birds of paradise. Hubby was hanging curtains and fell into my plant and crushed it. I have been trying to nurse it but it looks horrible.
If u want to make holes and you don't have a drill. Take an old spike/screwdriver and heat it up with a lighter/stove/or torch and stabby stab through it
