Hi Diana, Nopales a wonderful staple in Mexican food :)) Hope it grows well and i get to see you cook some ☺
Great video! Thanks for sharing on the Small Scale Gardening Facebook Group! I really like your opening photo too….really nice. What software did you use to make it? Good job and welcome to our group! 😉
Cactus Mix ! If this was about baking a cake would you say "buy a box of cakie mix" Sheees
Hey Big City Gurl, they don't sell "cactus mix" everywhere. Not here in Mexico where I live. Buen dia, Chica. Sheees!
Good to know
Thanks!💛
What kind of cactus is that? I have opuntia 'Burbank spineless'. Can I eat those pads? Also I bought Burbank spineless so I can eat the prickly pears.
Do you know which species of Nopales is best to get? Im interested in the most nutritious one.
What if I don’t have cactus mix, can I dry out some of my regular potting mis and use that instead?
Let it grow for 3 years and it turns to a tree
Dude my family has 3 10ft tall nopales growing in our yard we eat goooood
Thank you 😊
It grows in a lot of places in north and south carolina which has red clay soil. I think it can grow fine in non desert also.
Hi! Thank you for the video. I have a hard time looking for some nopales here in Missouri. Would I be able to just purchase a whole nopal that’s sold in the grocery store that haven’t been cleaned and stick them in the dirt? Will those root?
Hi, how often do i water my nopal after planting it in the pot?
I love nopales !
Does this plant have a specific name? I want to start my own edible garden, where would I find the plant?
This is diabetics cure and all these years my grandma grew it no one ever knew and diabetes has killed many of my family. I have a part of her plant left and I’m gonna grow it like crazy!
So I can root multiple pads like this one? Over here starting out only one. I'ma go back to that 10 ft tall plant and snip off like 5 pads 🤔 lol
