Happy Memorial Day weekend. In California, we are going to have a heat wave all next week. Please make sure to give your plants an extra run of water or do some hand watering to help them along.

In this video, I share some of my FAVORITE GARDENING BOOKS on GROWING VEGETABLES and CREATING AN EDIBLE LANDSCAPE for the HOME GARDENER IN CALIFORNIA. I want to emphasize this point – when you’re looking for books on gardening, it’s more helpful to find books that are written by authors from your region. The gardening information will be more relevant and useful~

Some of the gardening books talk about HOW TO GROW VEGETABLES from 0 to 100, COMPANION PLANTING, GROWING FRUIT TREES, DESIGNING AN EDIBLE LANDSCAPE or a KITCHEN VEGETABLE GARDEN, and the importance of understanding the meanings of BOTANICAL NAMES.
